Reduce pressure on students.

In recent days, Nguyen Thu Quynh, a 12th-grade student at Nguyen Hien High School (Hoa Cuong Ward), has been reviewing her learned knowledge and focusing on preparing for the high school graduation exam. Besides classroom review time, Quynh also spends time practicing exam questions and honing her test-taking skills within the allotted time. “Although I started preparing quite early, I’m still a little worried, especially in subjects that require high accuracy and time pressure. However, thanks to the guidance of my teachers, the mock tests and specialized review sessions, I feel more confident in identifying the key areas of knowledge I need to focus on,” Quynh shared.

Currently, high schools in the city are ready for students to enter the important exam. To best prepare for the high school graduation exam, Son Tra High School (An Hai ward) has implemented many activities to support students. Mr. Bui Minh Quang, the school's principal, said that this year the school has 434 12th-grade students divided into 10 classes. Immediately after the end of the regular curriculum, the school organizes free morning review classes for students according to their elective subject combinations. The review content closely follows the exam structure of the Ministry of Education and Training , and teachers from each subject department proactively prepare detailed materials and outlines to help students familiarize themselves with the exam format.

According to Mr. Quang, a highlight of Son Tra High School's preparation is the student classification and close coordination between the school and families. The school organized separate meetings with parents of students at risk of failing the graduation exam in key subjects like Mathematics and Literature to discuss specific issues and provide close support and encouragement to their children during this crucial final stage. Prior to this, the school also coordinated a mock exam with a rigorous and standardized process in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Training's graduation exam regulations to help students reduce psychological pressure and familiarize themselves with the exam environment. According to the plan, in early June, the school will issue exam cards and meet with and encourage students to enter the exam room with the best possible mindset.

Similarly, in preparation for the high school graduation exam, Thai Phien High School (Thanh Khe district) proactively implemented review plans, inspected facilities, and created a confident mindset for students. Ms. Pham Thi Trinh, the school's principal, said that this year, the school has 767 registered candidates. Thai Phien High School is one of the large examination centers, with 25 official examination rooms and 2 waiting rooms. Regarding facilities, the school proactively reviewed and inspected the entire system of classrooms, desks and chairs, electricity, fans, lighting, surveillance cameras, and other conditions to serve the exam according to regulations.

Complete the organizational conditions.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, Da Nang has 35,726 registered candidates for this year's exam, including 32,699 high school students, 3,027 continuing education students; 1,846 independent candidates; and 2,139 candidates from ethnic minority groups. The city has 99 examination centers with 1,520 examination rooms, and an estimated 9,113 officials and teachers are expected to participate.

To help students familiarize themselves with the exam, the Department of Education and Training organized a mock high school graduation exam for all 12th-grade students on April 23rd and 24th, 2026. The exam questions closely followed the sample questions provided by the Ministry of Education and Training, and the organization process followed the principle of "mock exams mimicking the real exam." After the exam, schools and the department analyzed the results and drew lessons learned to adjust revision plans to suit each group of students. In addition to the city-wide mock exam, many high schools proactively organized additional mock exams at the school and cluster levels to increase opportunities for students to practice and consolidate their knowledge before the official exam.

To ensure proper preparation and the necessary conditions for conducting the exams at all locations, the Department of Education and Training has directed and guided general education institutions to implement and prepare the required conditions. To date, 99 examination sites are basically ready to organize the exams. All sites ensure the required number of examination rooms, waiting rooms, exit waiting areas, and rooms for storing candidates' belongings; security and safety measures, including fire prevention, are also ensured. The rooms for storing exam papers and answer sheets are secure and equipped with security cameras to monitor and record activities within the rooms.

In addition, the examination rooms at the 62 testing centers are arranged to accommodate no more than 24 candidates, as per regulations. Each testing center is equipped with one computer and printer in the center's control room; and one landline telephone with speakerphone in the common work area. Exam papers and answer sheets are stored in separate cabinets; these cabinets are secure. The area where exam papers and answer sheets are stored is guarded by police officers 24 hours a day and ensures fire and explosion prevention measures are in place.
