Proactively provide food on the spot
Mr. Briu Quan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Avuong Commune, said that by noon on November 6, the locality had completed the transportation and distribution of more than 10 tons of rice, 1,000 boxes of instant noodles and many other essential necessities to people in isolated villages. The entire budget was supported by the city.
As for A'ur village, because the road is still cut off, relief goods are gathered at Avuong Primary School (old), handed over to village representatives to receive, and wait until after storm No. 13 has passed to transport them to the village.
“We mobilized maximum human resources, means, coordinated with military forces, police and people to bring relief goods to isolated areas. Along with that, we continued to review the needs, organize the next shipments, and ensure that no household went hungry or lacked essential necessities.
The transportation and distribution of goods were carried out safely and promptly, initially solving food difficulties after more than 10 days of isolation," Mr. Quan shared.

Currently, many roads leading to Atêép, A'ur, Arec and Ga'lau villages are still seriously eroded. The Avương commune authorities are continuing to mobilize human resources and vehicles to temporarily open roads, ensuring the route is open for relief work in the coming days.
In addition, the Commune Police force instructed people to reinforce their houses, protect their property, stock up on food and medicine, and be ready to evacuate when required.
According to preliminary statistics, recent floods have flooded or severely damaged more than 40 houses in Avuong commune; many traffic routes have been broken at dozens of locations. Initial damage is estimated at nearly 60 billion VND.
Ensuring safety for people
In Tra Linh commune, on the morning of November 6, the militia force deployed a campaign to propagate and mobilize people to proactively respond to the storm; at the same time, helping households to brace and reinforce their houses to limit damage when the storm makes landfall.
The militia coordinated with the police, union members, youth and village officials to visit each household, especially those with temporary houses, houses along streams, and areas at high risk of landslides, to help fix roofs, cover doors, and move easily damaged items.

Mr. Trinh Minh Hai, Chairman of Tra Linh Commune People's Committee, said that the commune government is highly focused on storm prevention and control; mobilizing maximum local forces to help people reinforce their houses, check areas at risk of landslides; and propagandize people not to go to streams or stay in dangerous areas.
At the same time, arrange safe evacuation points, stock up on food, drinking water and necessities, and be ready to evacuate people in case of emergency.
“We have activated the “4 on-site” policy, mobilizing all forces to be ready to respond to all situations. Based on a review of all villages in the commune, the functional forces have completed a list of households in areas at risk of landslides to be ready to evacuate when necessary,” said Mr. Hai.
To promptly update forecasts and warnings of heavy rain, landslides, flash floods, etc., Tra Linh commune effectively promotes the loudspeaker system and internal information groups; propagates and guides people to reinforce constructions, stock up on necessities and medicine, and be ready to evacuate when ordered.

Meanwhile, in Tra Tan commune, over the past few days, local military and militia forces have been marching over mountains, bringing relief supplies to 14 isolated households at Ong Thuong peak (Song Y village).
At the gathering point, relief goods were distributed to each household; soldiers and militiamen helped people reinforce their houses and raise their belongings in preparation for storm No. 13.
