Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 13, in order to proactively prevent and minimize damage caused by natural disasters, units under the Da Nang City Border Guard are deploying forces and means to help people prevent and combat the storm.
From 5:00 p.m. on November 5, Da Nang city issued a sea ban, all Border Control Stations will not process departure procedures for vehicles to go to sea until further notice.
Border guards at Hai Van, Son Tra, Cua Dai, Cu Lao Cham, and Ky Ha port have fired storm warning flares as prescribed.

Border guards, Da Nang port border guards, and the Border Guard Fleet use mobile loudspeakers on canoes to directly remind vehicle owners and captains to quickly arrange their boats in the correct anchoring positions, ensuring fire and explosion prevention and security and order in the storm shelter area.
At the same time, coordinate with people to support lifting and moving small boats and sampans ashore to avoid the risk of collision and capsizing when the storm makes landfall.
In Tay Giang and A Vuong communes, Anong Border Guard Station organized to grasp the situation of villages that were isolated by landslides during the recent floods, organized propaganda, and mobilized people to take measures to prevent and fight storms.
At the same time, 30 officers, soldiers and people of Axòo village, Tay Giang commune were sent to help 3 households overcome the consequences of natural disasters caused by previous floods; organize medical examinations and provide medicine to 40 people in A Tiep village (Avuong commune) who are isolated due to landslides.
In Hai Chau ward, the Da Nang Port Border Guard Command helped schools clean up, reinforce, and arrange storm-proof facilities.
At Hy Vong Village (Thanh Khe Ward), Phu Loc Border Guard Station mobilized forces to support tree pruning to prevent the risk of falling trees and limit damage caused by storms.
As of the morning of November 6, the Da Nang City Border Guard has completed the storm notification and called on all vessels to take shelter. Coastal Border Guard stations coordinated with functional forces to arrange, organize and support owners of vessels to anchor to minimize damage caused by storm No. 13.
Son Tra Border Guard Station coordinated with the Management Board of Da Nang Fishing Port and Wharf and the Military Command of Son Tra Ward to deploy forces to Tho Quang Wharf area to propagate storm prevention.

Lieutenant Colonel Duong Minh Duc, Political Commissar of Ky Ha Port Border Guard Station, said: "The work of preventing and fighting storm No. 13 was carried out very drastically. The unit coordinated with the Civil Defense Command of Tam Hai Commune and Nui Thanh Commune to mobilize hundreds of vehicles to take shelter at An Hoa fishing port. All fishermen complied very seriously."
By the morning of November 6, more than 1,000 fishing boats in the southern area of Da Nang city had entered safe shelters at An Hoa fishing port, shelters such as Tam Tien wharf and Dam river area before storm No. 13 directly affected the mainland.
Working groups of Tam Thanh Border Guard Station and Ky Ha Port Border Guard Station are on duty 24/7, regularly checking and instructing fishermen on how to properly tie their boats, ensuring safety against fire and collisions during strong winds and big waves.
Along with that, the border guards continue to propagate and mobilize fishermen to leave their boats and not stay on cages and aquaculture huts to absolutely ensure their safety.
According to the Da Nang City Border Guard Command, the entire city has 4,148 fishing boats with more than 21,000 workers. By the morning of November 6, only 40 boats with more than 1,800 workers were operating offshore; most of them in the Truong Sa fishing grounds. All were informed of the storm's location and instructed to move to safe areas.

According to Major Tran Quoc Khanh, Head of Tam Thanh Border Guard Station (Da Nang City Border Guard Command), the unit deploys permanent forces in vulnerable areas where there may be risks of storms, floods, etc. to promptly evacuate people when situations arise.
Ky Ha Port Border Guard Station deployed 4 working groups with 50 officers and soldiers to join in reinforcing houses and trimming trees at 2 schools and dozens of households.
At the same time, proactively review vulnerable areas, prepare forces and means to promptly evacuate people in dangerous areas to safety from the effects of storms and floods.
