Petrolimex Dong Nai: Half a century of stability, reaching new heights

Dong Nai General Materials Company (the predecessor of Petrolimex Dong Nai One Member Co., Ltd.) was established on November 7, 1975 under the Ministry of Materials (now the Ministry of Industry and Trade ).

In 1996, the company officially merged into the Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation (now the Vietnam National Petroleum Group - Petrolimex ). This event opened a period of integration and steady development for the company.

Efforts to ensure energy security

Petrolimex Dong Nai One Member Co., Ltd. has the function of trading petroleum, petrochemical products and services serving petroleum trading in Dong Nai and neighboring provinces.

During the development process, the company continuously builds and develops capital, technical facilities, technology, attracts and trains high-quality human resources to serve the production and business process.

Currently, Petrolimex Dong Nai has established a petroleum distribution system on direct wholesale channels for industrial customers (concentrated in large industrial zones in Dong Nai province and neighboring provinces); wholesale to distributors, franchisees; re-export and retail.

Mr. Pham Van Nam, Chairman and Director of Petrolimex Dong Nai Company Limited said: As a member of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group, the company clearly understands its political mission, which is "Ensuring energy security" in all situations. With a glorious tradition of 50 years of formation and development, regardless of the historical period, Petrolimex Dong Nai has made outstanding contributions and fulfilled its mission of ensuring the supply of petroleum to develop the local economy.

“With the role of the lifeblood of the economy, throughout the past 50 years, the company has developed a retail system with nearly 70 gas stations spread across communes and wards in the whole province, including remote areas, ineffective business, in difficult and remote places, without any presence, Petrolimex Dong Nai is still steadfast in its noble political mission, fulfilling its duty even though it has to compensate for transportation costs” - Mr. Pham Van Nam emphasized.

With the core mission of "ensuring energy security", over the past decades, implementing the direction of Petrolimex Group, the company has always focused on investing and applying information technology in management and operation. The birth of the enterprise resource planning system (SAP-ERP), gas station management software (Egas) contributes to the transparency of gas business, improving production and business efficiency.

In addition, the company always puts people at the center of development, promotes staff training, human resource development, meeting the requirements of integration, the 4.0 era. Continues to arrange and streamline the apparatus according to the policies of the Party, the State and the Group; preserves the cultural traditions and people of Petrolimex.

At the same time, deploy specific solutions to realize the green transformation vision, thereby continuing to increase the business of the highest quality, environmentally friendly petroleum products such as: supplying clean fuel products that meet the highest standards in Vietnam, including E10 Gasoline, Ron95-V, DO 0.001SV Oil, investing in green technology such as vapor recovery systems, wastewater treatment, and oil spill response equipment; developing new energy infrastructure such as electric vehicle charging stations, installing solar power at retail stores and increasing utilities at construction stores.

Thereby, the Board of Directors of Petrolimex Dong Nai commits to make efforts to provide high-quality, clean and environmentally friendly energy products, while creating conditions for customers to experience the best service in the process of purchasing gasoline; contributing to ensuring energy security, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of gasoline consumers in Dong Nai.

Pioneering, reaching new heights

The year 2025 marked a major turning point in the company's development journey. Implementing the organization and rearrangement of petroleum companies under the Vietnam National Petroleum Group, on August 22, according to the decision from the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), the company officially changed its name to Petrolimex Dong Nai One Member Co., Ltd., abbreviated as Petrolimex Dong Nai.

Along with this event, the company has received and established Petrolimex Binh Phuoc Branch. With a workforce of nearly 400 employees, 70 business locations including offices, gas stations, and other goods and service stores operating in a wide open market full of promise for new successes - a clear demonstration of the country's development.

This success cannot be separated from the deep concern and timely support of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and departments, branches and localities throughout the past time. It is this support and companionship that has created conditions for Petrolimex Dong Nai to continuously complete well and excellently all assigned tasks, making practical contributions to the common development of the group, Dong Nai province and the country.

Looking back on the journey of half a decade of stability, the company has been honored to be recognized by the Party and the State with noble awards and emulation titles such as: First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals; Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, along with many excellent emulation flags, certificates of merit, and prestigious certificates of merit from Ministries, branches and Provincial People's Committees, most notably the Third Class Independence Medal. These awards and titles affirm the achievements of the pioneering, responsibility and tireless efforts of the company's leadership and employees over many generations.

The company determined: Petroleum business is still the main axis, at least for the period 2025-2035, while focusing on investing and effectively exploiting the non-petroleum ecosystem.

Accordingly, the company will focus on four main pillars: Investing in technical facilities, especially investing in digital infrastructure, applying technology and exploiting data to optimize business; building high-quality human resources and maintaining the inherent corporate culture; promoting innovation activities throughout the company; shifting business energy to improve competitiveness and move towards sustainable development.
