DNO - On November 6, the Standing Delegation of the Da Nang City People's Council led by Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung visited and presented gifts to people in communes affected by the recent floods.

In Ben Giang, Thanh My and Ben Hien communes, Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung visited and informed about the damage in the localities; at the same time deeply sympathized with the people's losses.

The Chairman of the City People's Council acknowledged the proactive and drastic spirit of the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and socio- political organizations in the work of preventing and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in recent times.

At the same time, it is recommended that localities continue to promote a sense of responsibility in responding to natural disasters, especially storm No. 13. Strengthen information and propaganda so that people can grasp and proactively deploy storm prevention and control in a timely manner.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 150 gifts to people in 3 communes, each worth 1 million VND (cash and necessities).

It is known that recently, the Standing Committee of the City People's Council organized inspections, visits and gave gifts to 50 communes and wards affected by natural disasters with a total value of 2.5 billion VND.
