The conference aims to implement new policies of the Party and State on population work, especially Resolution No. 21-NQ/TW, Conclusion No. 149-KL/TW of the Politburo on digital citizens in the new situation and the revised Population Ordinance in 2025.
In the special report "Birth promotion and key issues of population work in the new situation", MSc. Phung Thi Huong Hanh, Head of the City Population Office, pointed out the urgency of shifting population policy from the goal of reducing births to maintaining a reasonable birth rate; overcoming gender imbalance at birth; adapting to population aging and improving the quality of human resources.
Current population work does not stop at family planning but has shifted strongly to "Population and development", including contents on population size, structure, distribution and quality associated with local socio -economic development goals.
The conference also spent time discussing the role of population collaborators in villages and residential groups in reproductive health advocacy and counseling, prenatal and newborn screening, as well as mobilizing couples to "have two children" according to the Population Ordinance.
Through the conference, cadres, party members and people in Tam Ky ward have raised awareness, responsibility and practical actions in implementing population and development policies, contributing to building a sustainable, quality and happy residential community.
It is known that Tam Ky ward after the merger has an area of 8.36km², population of more than 44,000 people.
