Currently, the strongest wind near the storm center is level 11 (103-117km/h), gusting to level 14. The storm is moving rapidly to the West at a speed of up to 30km/h.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has a preliminary assessment that from November 5 to 6, the storm may increase from level 12 to level 13, gusting to level 17 when it moves deep into the central area of the East Sea (becoming storm number 13). The main area affected by the storm is the central and eastern sea of the East Sea, where many ships operate far from shore.
According to the meteorological agency, storm number 13 may still strengthen, possibly reaching level 13 and gusting to level 17. This storm has a high risk of directly affecting the Central Central and South Central regions in the next 3-4 days.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warns that from around the afternoon of November 4, the eastern sea area in the central East Sea will have winds gradually increasing to level 6-7, then increasing to level 8-9; the area near the storm's center will have strong winds of level 10-12, gusting to level 14-15, with waves 5-7m high.
During November 5-6, the central East Sea area (including Truong Sa special zone), the sea off the coast of Da Nang - Khanh Hoa area is likely to be affected by strong winds of level 12-14, gusting above level 17, and waves of 8-10m high.
Faced with the above situation, the National Civil Defense Steering Committee issued an urgent dispatch on November 2 requesting proactive response to storm Kalmaegi near the East Sea.
Accordingly, the steering committee requested the People's Committees of 17 coastal provinces and cities from Thanh Hoa to An Giang, along with a number of relevant ministries and branches, to urgently deploy proactive measures to prevent and combat storms. Provinces and cities in the Central region must review and be ready to deploy plans to respond to strong storms and floods after the storm.
Ministries and branches, according to their state management functions and assigned tasks, need to proactively direct and coordinate with localities in responding to storms and floods.
