At the places the delegation visited, people in difficult circumstances received gifts including essential necessities such as drinking water, canned food, cakes, dry food... and cash.
During this period, the Ministry of Public Security also donated 30 tons of goods, including food, drinking water and essential necessities to provide timely support to the people of Hue city affected by the recent historic flood. The goods were handed over to the authorities of communes and wards to organize the right distribution, ensuring publicity, transparency and reaching the most severely damaged households.
Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, said: From October 26 until now, Hue city has suffered an exceptionally heavy rain, with historic rainfall, with rainfall at Bach Ma peak of nearly 1,800mm on the night of October 27. This is the heaviest rain in Vietnam's meteorological history, causing flood peaks of rivers in the area to reach levels similar to those in 1999, even higher in some places, causing severe damage to property and people's lives.
However, thanks to the proactiveness of Party committees and authorities at all levels, along with the response experience of Hue people and the timely intervention of armed forces, the work of preventing and overcoming consequences was deployed synchronously, minimizing damage. The forces quickly evacuated people from dangerous areas, promptly provided relief to isolated areas, demonstrating the spirit of "When people need, when people are in trouble, there is the police".

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung expressed his admiration for the resilience and solidarity of Hue people during the natural disaster; at the same time, he hoped that people would continue to promote their traditions, soon overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and restore production after the flood.
He also requested the police, military and local authorities to increase support for people in deeply flooded and long-isolated areas, ensuring the safety of people and property.
Also on the afternoon of November 1, a working delegation from the Ministry of Public Security and philanthropists presented nearly 2,000 gifts to people in difficult circumstances in the flood-affected wards of Phong Dinh, Phong Thai, An Cuu, Phu Xuan and Nguyen Chi Thanh High School (Quang Dien commune).
