While people are struggling to cope with the rain and floods, the image of police officers rushing into the raging water to rescue people has become a heartwarming bright spot in the midst of the storm and flood season. In just a few hours, police forces across Hue city have urgently provided support, ensured safety and saved the lives of many sick and vulnerable people in emergency situations.

On the same morning (November 3), after receiving a phone call from the family of pregnant woman Tran Thi Ngoc Nhi (born in 2001), Phu Xuan Ward Police quickly arrived, using a small boat to approach the pregnant woman's house on Phung Khac Khoan Street and took Nhi out of the flooded area. In the heavy rain, many roads were cut off, the police officers made efforts to transfer Nhi to an ambulance and to the hospital in time.

In Dan Dien commune, the police force also quickly assisted in taking Ms. Le Thi Thuy (born in 1968, mother of Mr. Le Quang Do, Nghia Lo village) to Huong Tra Hospital for emergency treatment. The police officers of Huong Tra ward also promptly took Ms. Hoang Thi Noan, 85 years old, living alone in residential group 3, to Hue Central Hospital, branch 2, after she fell and injured her head at home. Or in An Cuu ward, the police officers carried two elderly people out of the deep flooded area and brought them to the headquarters for safe shelter. All of these reflect the high sense of responsibility, "forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people" of the Hue city police force in the midst of historic floods.

Not only rescuing people, the Hue City Police force also worked hard to ensure traffic safety and warn of landslides on many key routes. On Provincial Road 14B, section Km34, the hill collapsed, the road surface peeled off, completely cutting off a 100m stretch of road. Immediately, the Long Quang Commune Police coordinated with the authorities and functional forces to set up checkpoints, put up warning signs, and not allow people and vehicles to pass through the dangerous area. Previously, on November 2, the forces organized an emergency evacuation of 6 households with 21 people from the commune out of the landslide-prone area, ensuring absolute safety for the people.

In A Luoi 3 commune, the commune police force and functional units made efforts to clear rocks and soil, overcome landslides at Km75+100, National Highway 49; at the same time, placed barriers, warning signs and were on duty to guide vehicles to move safely to ensure smooth traffic on key routes.

During the rainy and flood days, Hue City Police officers are not only the frontline force in preventing and fighting natural disasters, but also a peaceful support for people in times of trouble.
