EVNCPC held an urgent meeting to respond to complex floods and storm No. 13.
Speaking at the meeting, EVNCPC General Director Ngo Tan Cu emphasized: "The flood situation is very complicated, many areas are flooded again. The on-duty force had to work very hard during the flood at the end of October and last night and this morning the rain continued to be heavy. In addition, it is forecast that storm No. 13 may enter from Da Nang to Khanh Hoa, so we must absolutely not be subjective. The whole system must maintain safety and discipline, discipline is the strength to "go to battle".
According to statistics, as of 7:00 a.m. on November 3, the entire EVNCPC recorded 707 power grid incidents, of which 605 have been restored. 87,439 customers still lost power, accounting for 1.77% of the total customers in the entire customer area of Da Nang, Hue, and Quang Ngai Power Companies. Of which, Da Nang (still lost power to 61,605 customers) and Hue City (still lost power to 25,723 customers) are the two localities most severely affected by heavy rain and local landslides.
As for Da Nang Electricity Company, due to heavy rains, last night and this morning, some deeply flooded areas had to temporarily stop supplying electricity to ensure people's safety, affecting more than 61,000 customers. The shock force was mobilized to the maximum to restore electricity as soon as the water receded. With the situation of deep flooding and heavy rain, the unit mobilized nearly 750 employees along with less affected Power Management Teams and 5 external support units to participate in the rescue, focusing on hot spots such as Dong Giang, Que Son, Hoa Vang, A Vuong...
With the Da Nang, Hue and Quang Ngai Electricity Companies proactively dispatching forces to support power units in the Company to restore the power grid system after the great flood. The General Director emphasized: "Although the restoration of power is very urgent, we must ensure the safety of the people. Do not ignore safety because of the restoration progress. Floods and landslides are still developing very quickly, just a small mistake can cost lives".

EVNCPC forces are working to restore the power grid after the flood.
The EVNCPC General Director also requested that, in addition to the Da Nang, Quang Ngai and Hue Power Companies that have mobilized forces to handle incidents at flooded areas, Gia Lai, Dak Lak Power Companies and Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company must proactively deploy the "4 on-site" plan, review the power grid along the coast and mountainous areas prone to landslides, and be ready to support other units when requested.
Particularly, hydropower plants managed and operated by the Central Power Services Company and Power Investment Joint Stock Company 3 must strictly comply with dam safety procedures, reinforce weak points, and promptly handle landslide areas for safe operation. The Central Power Testing Company Limited is ready to send forces and electrical testing teams to immediately support the power systems of units after the storm. The Central Power Information Technology ensures that the IT and telecommunications systems are running smoothly, serving the operations and production and business of the entire Corporation.
"We have overcome storm No. 12 very well, but we absolutely must not be subjective with storm No. 13. This phase is not just about overcoming but also "fighting". The entire force must be disciplined, disciplined, technical, timely and resilient", the EVNCPC General Director concluded.
