This result is based on the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between the Vietnam Entertainment E- Sports Association (VIRESA) and VTC Technology and Digital Content Company (VTC Intecom), the publisher of Audition in Vietnam on November 3, 2025. Accordingly, the parties agreed that VIRESA will play a coordinating role for VIRESA, TESF, and VTC Intecom to co-chair and coordinate with competent authorities in Thailand to organize the Audition demonstration competition at the 33rd SEA Games, including 3 events: men's event, women's event, and mixed team event.
With two consecutive years of experience successfully organizing e-sports at SEA Games 31 and SEA Games 32, VIRESA is expected to continue to bring surprises to the Audition e-sports performance at SEA Games 33. This is also the first time an e-sports event about music and dance has been chosen as a performance event at a SEA Games.
Mr. Do Viet Hung, Chairman of the Southeast Asian E-Sports Federation (SEAEF) - Chairman of VIRESA, said that with an important mission in the Vietnamese digital cultural industry ecosystem, VIRESA aims to build a humane, creative and sustainable e-sports, contributing to the implementation of the National Digital Transformation Strategy and the Vietnam Cultural Industry Development Strategy to 2030, vision 2045. The coordination between VIRESA, TESF and VTC Intecom at the 33rd SEA Games this time continues to demonstrate the consistency of the strategy of positioning Vietnamese e-sports in the role of leading the Southeast Asian e-sports flow.

Audition is not only an e-sport associated with the youth of millions of Vietnamese people but also a symbol of a special development stage of the Vietnamese gaming industry. Making Audition a performance sport at the SEA Games is a source of pride and a testament to Vietnam's ability to organize and train e-sports athletes in the region, marking the sport with strong entertainment and digital culture elements reaching the regional level.
According to the plan, the official medal events of e-sports at the 33rd SEA Games will take place from December 13-19, 2025 in Thailand, including 04 sports and 06 events. At the 31st and 32nd SEA Games, Vietnam won a total of 05 gold medals, 06 silver medals and 04 bronze medals. At this year's SEA Games, Vietnamese e-sports aims to maintain its achievements, continue to win high rankings, and at the same time consolidate its position in the region.
