On the afternoon of November 1, heavy rain caused a large amount of sand from the high hills to flow down National Highway 1A through Luong Son commune (Lam Dong), temporarily disrupting traffic.

According to initial information, the incident area is on National Highway 1A, section Km1651+100, through Luong Dong village, Luong Son commune. The amount of sand spilled onto National Highway 1A is about 100m long, many sections of sand spilled with a thickness of more than 0.5m, making it impossible for vehicles to circulate.

Immediately after the incident, Luong Son Commune Police set up a blockade and directed traffic in another direction to ensure safety.

At around 6 p.m., the authorities of Luong Son commune mobilized forces and vehicles to handle and level the sand to clear one lane of traffic from Khanh Hoa to Ho Chi Minh City. The remaining traffic is being handled.

Also on the afternoon of November 1, heavy rain also flooded the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway through Ham Kiem commune ( Lam Dong ). Currently, the authorities have blocked and directed traffic in another direction from the Ma Lam and Phan Thiet intersections to fix the problem.
