Avuong commune suffered more than 50 billion VND in damage due to floods.

DNO - On November 4, Mr. Briu Quan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Avuong commune, said that the initial damage caused by the flood at the end of October 2025 in the locality was estimated at about 50 billion VND.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Avuong commune, during the recent flood, local authorities evacuated 75 households with 255 people from the dangerous landslide area, and urgently relocated 3 houses with severe landslides.

The floods caused 23 houses in A'ur village and 10 houses in Azut village to be submerged 0.5-1m deep; 3 houses in L'gom and T'ghey villages were damaged more than 70%. In Ateép village alone, 27 households were affected by landslides from high mountains, of which 9 households suffered severe damage.

Many key routes such as Ho Chi Minh road, DT606, DH3, DH5 and DX routes, rural traffic routes have dozens of landslides, some places have broken, causing Ateep, Arec, and Ga'lau villages to be isolated for many days.

In addition, the ground floor of Nguyen Ba Ngoc Secondary School was flooded 20cm, Avuong Kindergarten had a 20m long fence collapsed, Ateep school was flooded 50cm; 2 domestic water systems were swept away by flood.

Electricity, water, irrigation and telecommunications systems in the area were all severely damaged, with power outages lasting for many days.

Total damage is estimated at about 50 billion VND, of which traffic infrastructure alone accounts for more than 27 billion VND.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Avuong Briu Quan commune said that immediately after the rain stopped, the locality mobilized all military forces, police, youth unions and people to overcome the consequences, prioritizing temporary road opening, dredging mud and soil, repairing houses and schools.

At the same time, support rice and necessities for isolated households, temporarily repair domestic water systems, help people soon stabilize their lives and restore production for the 2025-2026 winter-spring crop...

The People's Committee of Avuong commune proposed the city to support 54.26 tons of rice and funds to repair infrastructure and ensure traffic; functional units should increase motor vehicles at major landslide sites to soon clear the route and stabilize people's lives.
