The price of live pigs this morning (November 5) continued to show a slight downward trend in many localities across the three regions. The common price fluctuated between 48,000 - 53,000 VND/kg, in which Hai Phong was the locality with the highest price, while Gia Lai maintained the lowest price in the country.

Pig price today in the North
The price of live pigs in the North this morning decreased by 1,000 VND/kg in many provinces and cities.
After adjustment, Hanoi , Bac Ninh, Phu Tho, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son, Lao Cai and Dien Bien all decreased to 51,000 - 52,000 VND/kg.
Localities such as Cao Bang , Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh, Lai Chau, Son La continue to maintain stability around 51,000 - 52,000 VND/kg.
Hai Phong alone maintains the level of 53,000 VND/kg, the highest in the region as well as nationwide.
Currently, the price of live pigs in the North fluctuates between 51,000 - 53,000 VND/kg.

Pig price today in the Central Highlands
Pig prices in the Central Highlands region this morning also recorded a slight decrease in many localities.
Specifically, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An both decreased by 1,000 VND/kg to 51,000 VND/kg; Ha Tinh to 50,000 VND/kg; Dak Lak decreased to 49,000 VND/kg, while Gia Lai continued to decrease to 48,000 VND/kg, the lowest level in the country.
Localities such as Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai maintained around 49,000 VND/kg, while Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong maintained at 50,000 - 51,000 VND/kg.
Thus, the price of live pigs in the Central Highlands is currently fluctuating between 48,000 - 51,000 VND/kg.

Pig price today in the South
In the Southern region, live pig prices also decreased slightly in Dong Nai and Tay Ninh, both falling to 51,000 VND/kg.
The remaining provinces such as Dong Thap, An Giang, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho maintained the level of 50,000 - 51,000 VND/kg, while Ca Mau still maintained a high level of 52,000 VND/kg, and Vinh Long had the lowest in the region with 49,000 VND/kg.
Currently, the price of live pigs in the South fluctuates between 49,000 - 52,000 VND/kg.

Mekong Delta proactively supplies live pigs for Tet market
Localities in the Mekong Delta such as Dong Thap and An Giang are stepping up herd restoration, disease control and applying modern farming techniques to ensure a stable pork supply for the 2026 Lunar New Year.
In Dong Thap, many households have started to restock their herds since early October, raising the total herd to about 470,000, an increase of more than 75,000 compared to before. The local price of live pigs remains around 49,000 - 54,000 VND/kg, with little fluctuation thanks to the strict application of biosafety farming processes.
An Giang currently has more than 379,000 pigs, expected to reach 420,000 by the end of the year, equivalent to 80% of the 2025 plan. The local agricultural sector is focusing on developing chain-linked livestock farming, strengthening disease control and tightening border management to prevent illegal pork trafficking.
Thanks to the proactive and synchronous coordination between sectors, the pork supply in the Mekong Delta is guaranteed to be stable, contributing to stabilizing market prices and meeting the high consumer demand at the end of the year.
