Nearly 50 officials, civil servants, and workers from the commune, along with officers and soldiers from the La Êê Border Guard Post, the Commune Military Command, and teachers and staff from schools in the area, went to the two villages of Pa Lan and Pà Ooi to help harvest more than 2 hectares of upland rice for single-parent families, disadvantaged households, and households lacking labor.

From early morning, the workforce was divided into several groups, carrying sickles, sacks, and harvesting tools, and they quickly entered the fields to begin their work. Some cut the rice, others gathered it into bundles, and still others transported it to the edge of the field.

Local people also participated in providing support, creating an atmosphere of solidarity and warmth before the storm hit.

According to Ms. A Rat Thi Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of La Ee commune, due to the characteristics of the mountainous area, upland rice crops that are ready for harvest are severely affected if there is heavy rain.

Therefore, the commune mobilized all officials, civil servants, border guards, military personnel, and teachers and staff from schools to help people harvest the entire area before bad weather occurred.

Despite the hilly terrain and slippery roads, everyone worked hard to complete the large volume of work in a short amount of time.

By 3 PM the same day, the entire 2 hectares of upland rice in the two villages had been safely harvested and transported to a dry place for drying.
