Prosecution of company director for tax evasion

On November 5, the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police announced that it had issued a decision to prosecute and enforce a ban on leaving the place of residence against Tran Van Ba, born in 1960, residing in Tan Loc Ward (Can Tho City), Director of Ba Pho LLC, Long Chau area, Tan Loc Ward, to investigate tax evasion.

An Giang Provincial Police Investigation Agency issued a decision to prosecute Tran Van Ba.

The investigation determined that from 2022 to 2023, defendant Tran Van Ba, Director of Ba Pho LLC, through Mr. Pham Van Hien (born in 1967, residing in Can Tho City), introduced Mr. Truong Hong Sang, born in 1968, residing in Binh Duc Ward (An Giang Province) to sell fake invoices, so Ba contacted to buy a total of 41 fake invoices, with a total payment amount of more than 10.8 billion VND, to legalize the source of goods.

Then, Tran Van Ba ​​used the declaration to deduct input value added tax for Ba Pho LLC, causing a loss to the State budget of over 983 million VND.

Currently, the case is being continued to be investigated and handled by the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Provincial Police according to the provisions of law.
