Digital transformation in the Front system

Synchronizing infrastructure, innovating operations

At the Office of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, when there is a document that needs to be deployed, the staff only needs to click send on the electronic system or Zalo group, the document is immediately sent to the Front levels from the province to the grassroots. Some conferences at the provincial level, congresses at the commune level, the Fatherland Front has used QR codes to access documents, replacing paper documents... These innovations not only help reduce procedures, save time but also create a fast and effective connection channel, contributing to modernizing the operations of the Front system.

For effective digital transformation, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has issued a plan for digital transformation for the period 2025 - 2028, established a Steering Committee and a team to support digital transformation, and assigned specific responsibilities to each department. The operational management system is deployed in parallel through the platforms of Viettel and VNPT, connecting 100% of agencies, units, and localities to the commune level, ensuring fast and safe document circulation.

According to Deputy Chief of Office of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Duc Duc Thanh, up to now, the unit has completed 29/31 digital transformation plan targets under the direction of the Central Government. "Key contents such as infrastructure construction, electronic document management system, staff training, data digitization... have all been implemented synchronously, bringing about clear efficiency in management, operation and serving the people", Mr. Thanh said.

Mr. Vu Duy Khanh - specialist of the Office of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee shared: "The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has upgraded the internet connection and wifi system to meet the requirements of online working. The online meeting system has been deployed to connect departments, branches, communes, wards and special zones in the province."

Digitalizing data, improving staff capacity

All records, minutes of comments, suggestions of voters, monitoring documents, social criticism... have been digitized and stored on an electronic platform by the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee issued an official dispatch requiring the creation and storage of new data in the digital environment, gradually forming a unified electronic data warehouse of the Front system. At the same time, the unit organized 5 digital transformation training courses for 100% of cadres and civil servants in both direct and online forms. Currently, 100% of leaders and cadres in need are granted personal digital signatures, all incoming and outgoing documents are processed online.

The Provincial Front's website continues to be a channel for propaganda and receiving people's feedback. In addition, the Front also expands its reception via Zalo, Facebook, and email, helping people easily send information and opinions to the agency. Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Dong Commune, Nguyen Kim Thuy, said: "Currently, through Zalo groups and Facebook pages, the Front and commune organizations can easily grasp and synthesize people's opinions and feedback and handle them promptly, contributing to strengthening people's trust in the Front system."

Mr. Nguyen Duc Duc Thanh added: “Digital transformation is not only about applying technology but also about changing the way of working, aiming to serve people faster and more transparently. In the coming time, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will increase the use of digital signatures in issuing documents and expand the form of online meetings, at the same time, invest in image and video storage equipment to better carry out propaganda work.”

With drastic direction, synchronous implementation and appropriate steps, digital transformation work in the Vietnam Fatherland Front system of the province is increasingly going into depth, contributing to improving operational efficiency, promoting administrative reform and strengthening the connection between the Party, government and people in the digital age.
