Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of An Giang province, Danh Phuc (right cover), presented certificates of merit to pagodas that won first prize in the Water-Water Platform Making Contest.
Water-based scaffolding is one of the cultural and artistic forms with many rich and diverse features in the community life of the Khmer people in the South in general and the Khmer people in An Giang province in particular.
There are 12 Khmer Theravada pagodas in the communes of Go Quao, Dinh Hoa, Vinh Hoa Hung, Long Thanh, Giong Rieng, Chau Thanh participating in the contest. Each pagoda is decorated with water and green plants with meanings, expressing customs, habits, and basic characteristics of traditional culture of the Khmer people.

The contest of making beautiful water-green trellis brings to the festival shimmering colors, typical of Khmer Theravada pagodas, showing the beauty of rich cultural identity.
The organizing committee awarded the A prize to 3 pagodas: Soc Ven Moi, Soc Sau, Rach Tia (Go Quao commune).
Prize B belongs to 5 pagodas: KhLang Muong, KhLang Ong (Chau Thanh commune), Ban Be, Cai Ban, and Tong Quan pagodas (Dinh Hoa commune).
Prize C includes 4 pagodas: Tram Chet (Giong Rieng commune), Nha Si Cu (Long Thanh commune), Luc Phi (Vinh Hoa Hung), Soc Ven Cu (Go Quao commune).
