Da Nang deploys response plan for storm No. 13

On November 5, the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued Document 3567 to implement a response plan for storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi).

The content of the dispatch stated that, according to the bulletin of the Central Hydrometeorological Station, storm No. 13 is moving in the West - Northwest direction, at a speed of 20 - 25 km/hour, with the possibility of strengthening to level 14-17, and is expected to directly affect the area from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak .

In particular, Da Nang is affected by strong winds of level 8-10, gusts of level 11-12, heavy rain of 100-300mm, in some places over 400mm.

To proactively respond, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the City Military Command, City Police, departments, branches, People's Committees of communes, wards, special zones and related units to seriously organize and implement the response plan for storm No. 13.

In particular, urgently check and review areas and locations at risk of landslides, flooding, and severe flash floods to evacuate and relocate people to safe places, completing the evacuation before 12 noon on November 6.

During the implementation process, if there are any difficulties or problems, report to the City People's Committee, the City Civil Defense Command, through: the Military Command, the Department of Agriculture and Environment (advisory agency on disaster prevention and control) for consideration and direction.
