Creating an environment for children to thrive.

Over the past period, youth organizations at all levels in the province have implemented many programs and activities aimed at children, helping them have a good environment for learning, living, and developing.

Ms. Huynh Thi Nhu Y, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and President of the Provincial Children's Council, stated that in recent years, the Provincial Youth Union and its subordinate units have focused on and effectively implemented the work of caring for, educating , and protecting children. Movements such as "A Thousand Good Deeds," "Small Plans," and "Vietnamese Children Competing to Follow the Five Teachings of Uncle Ho" have been widely disseminated by youth organizations, contributing to the moral education, lifestyle development, and fostering ideals for children. Activities related to traditional education, learning, training, life skills, and caring for disadvantaged children have been implemented extensively and practically through the "For Our Beloved Children" campaign, programs like "Khanh Hoa Children's Stature in the Modern Era - A Journey of Millions of Glasses of Milk to Children in Difficult Areas," "Celebrating Tet with Children," and "Zero-Cost Children's Bookstore"...

Children participate in the 31st Provincial Youth Informatics Competition - 2026, organized by the Provincial Youth Union in coordination with the Department of Education and Training.

From 2025 to the present, the Youth Union has carried out many vibrant activities such as: Organizing the "I am a Liberation Army Soldier" Festival; the "I Love Vietnam" video clip competition for Khánh Hòa children singing the national anthem at historical sites in 2025 on a province-wide scale; the first Provincial Youth and Children's Chess Tournament with 342 young athletes participating; coordinating the annual provincial youth informatics competition... In addition, the youth throughout the province have implemented diverse activities to develop creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and adaptive learning through STEM experiential activities, applying digital technology in learning and youth activities such as: "Journey to Discover Technology," digital experience day, playgrounds to learn about AI, robotics, and designing creative products with new technologies... The "Free Swimming Lessons" model has been widely implemented, attracting a large number of Youth Union members and young people to participate. The Provincial Youth Union, its affiliated units, and local youth union branches organized over 120 free swimming classes for more than 3,230 children. The percentage of children who learned to swim after each course reached 75-90%, depending on the area. Besides recreational activities, many practical models have been implemented. A prime example is the "Youth Union's Sponsored Child" model, which is being widely replicated by youth organizations. Ms. Dinh Ngoc Bao Tram, Deputy Secretary of the Van Hung Commune Youth Union, said that the commune's Youth Union recently sponsored two students with particularly difficult circumstances in the area, providing regular support during holidays, Tet (Lunar New Year), the start of the school year, and International Children's Day; and mobilizing benefactors to donate gifts and support...

The Provincial Youth Council, in coordination with other units, donated bicycles to underprivileged students with excellent academic achievements in Dien Dien commune.

According to Ms. Huynh Thi Nhu Y, in the coming time, with a spirit of innovation and creativity, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Children's Council have identified the key task as creating a modern environment to help children master digital skills and cultivate integration skills based on moral values. With this requirement, all levels of the Youth Union, Children's Council, and Children's Council will continue to work together to build a safe and healthy living environment for children; pay more attention to children in difficult circumstances; strengthen education in life skills, digital skills, and prevention of drowning, injuries, violence, and child abuse. At the same time, they will expand social resources to firmly consolidate the "safety net" to support children in difficult circumstances, creating conditions for their comprehensive development.
