The bustling Ha Dien - Ky Yen festival

From May 31st to June 3rd, My Thuan communal house (Cai Von ward) is holding the Ha Dien - Ky Yen Festival. The festival showcases religious practices, traditional values, and cultural identity, creating a joyful atmosphere with the participation of numerous local people and tourists.

The My Thuan Temple Management Board brought the sacred effigy from the main hall and placed it in the pavilion in front of the courtyard, then performed the "Divine Procession" ceremony, which involved more than 300 people. The procession walked through the inner city streets of Cai Von and Binh Minh wards before returning to the temple to perform the ceremony of enshrining the sacred effigy.

Afterwards, the rituals are performed: the Tùa Lầu Cấu musical performance, changing the headscarf - opening the ceremony and reading the divine decree, inviting the spirits, offering sacrifices to the deceased, offering sacrifices to the God of Agriculture, Túc Yết, building the altar - Đại Bội, Chánh Tế… The festival part includes many activities: artistic sticky rice tray competition, lion and dragon dance festival, Chhay Dăm drum dance, traditional opera, folk games…

According to Mr. Huynh Dang Minh Thien, Head of the Management Board of My Thuan communal house relics, many festivals are held at the communal houses, the major ones being the Ha Dien festival, the Thuong Dien festival, and the Ky Yen festival. The Ha Dien - Ky Yen festival at My Thuan communal house is organized on a large scale, attracting thousands of participants. The festival reflects the tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source," strengthens community bonds, and meets the spiritual and entertainment needs of the people.
