8th grade female student beaten by gang in HCMC: 6 students will be disciplined

Regarding the case of an 8th grade girl being beaten by a group of friends, the authorities have stepped in. The school has also taken measures to deal with the students who beat their friends.

According to information from the authorities, A.D Secondary School (Long Nguyen Ward) invited all students, parents and teachers of the relevant classes to work on November 2. The school principal also apologized to the parents whose children were beaten. On the afternoon of November 2, the police also got involved.

On November 3, parents, homeroom teachers of relevant classes and representatives of the Board of Directors continued to have a working session together.

Eighth grade girls rushed to beat up their classmates while their friends cheered.

Through investigation, it was determined that the cause of the beating was a conflict while lining up for physical education. The teacher arranged the standing positions but the students did not stand in the correct position. The conflict arose from there and the students made an appointment to go to the restroom to fight.

After the incident, the female students who beat their friend expressed remorse and asked the school to accept any form of disciplinary action. The parents of the students also apologized to the beaten student and her family, and pledged to cover the medical examination, medicine, and travel expenses.

The school principal said that the 6 students who beat their friend will be disciplined in the highest form. The school will step up propaganda and education for students to prevent school violence from happening.

On the morning of November 5, a 2-minute clip was circulated on social media, recording a group of female students beating up a classmate on the campus of A.D Secondary School, while many surrounding students cheered.

The incident spread on social media, causing outrage at the school violence of a group of 8th grade girls. The female student was beaten by a group of people and later had to seek medical care, diagnosed with multiple injuries, 3 cracked ribs, and mental panic.
