Military forces help people reinforce roofs before storm No. 13

Telegram sent to the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the provinces and cities: Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang , Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa and related ministries, Office of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee.

The telegram stated that storm No. 13 is moving rapidly towards the sea and mainland of the Central and South Central regions. This storm is forecast to be very strong when it makes landfall, making landfall during high tide, with a very wide area of influence, accompanied by heavy rain, with a very high risk of deep flooding and flash floods, landslides, especially in places where heavy rain has occurred for a long time in recent days.

The Ga Ry Border Guard Station coordinated with local forces to support people in H'Juh village (Hung Son commune, Da Nang city) to move their properties and houses out of areas at risk of landslides.

Following the Prime Minister 's dispatch dated November 4, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province and city - head of the provincial civil defense command to direct the review, development, completion and approval of the response plan to storm No. 13 in the area, in which specific natural disaster and incident situations that may occur, and key vulnerable areas are identified.

On that basis, localities assign specific tasks to deputy heads and each member of the civil defense command, and proactively coordinate with the military command and provincial and municipal police to arrange forces, vehicles, supplies, equipment, food and necessary necessities to be on standby at all key locations to be ready to deploy when bad situations occur.

In case of exceeding capacity, the locality shall proactively report and request the Command of Military Region 4, Military Region 5, and the Office of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee to promptly mobilize support in accordance with regulations.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ministry of Construction to lead the delegation to directly urge, guide, and coordinate with localities in responding to storm No. 13.
