
This year's tournament took place over 2 days (November 4 and 5), gathering 61 male and female Ngo boat teams, with many athletes from inside and outside Can Tho City participating in the competition (53 male teams and 8 female teams).

The 2025 Can Tho City Ngo Boat Race has a total prize value of over 1.4 billion VND. Specifically, the prize structure for both men and women is: First prize 200 million VND; Second prize 150 million VND; Third prize 100 million VND and Fourth prize 80 million VND.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to the first and second place teams in each round, and supported each Ngo boat team with 30 million VND in costs to participate in the competition.


Accordingly, in the 1,200m competition for men, swimmers from the Ngo Tum Nup 2 boat team (An Ninh commune, Can Tho city) excelled over 52 boat teams to successfully defend the championship cup for 3 consecutive years (2023, 2024 and 2025); Second prize went to the Prek On Dok - Can Duoc boat team (Nhu Gia commune, Can Tho city); Third prize went to the Prek Ta Cuol team (Gia Hoa commune, Can Tho city) and the Chroi Tum Chas - Tra Tim old boat team (My Xuyen ward, Can Tho city) won fourth prize.

The 1,000m Ngo boat race for women also took place dramatically in the afternoon of the same day. As a result, the female swimmers of the Ngo Tum Nup boat team (An Ninh commune, Can Tho city) won the championship cup for the third consecutive time; 3 boat teams from Ca Mau province won second, third and fourth prizes respectively: Kor Thum 2, Ngan Dua and Kor Thum 1.


During the 2 days of the race, hundreds of thousands of people, tourists and fans of Ngo boating came to the Maspéro River grandstand to watch and cheer for the teams.
