Spread the movement
The movement not only strongly arouses the spirit of creativity and legitimate enrichment among members and farmers, but also makes an important contribution to restructuring the agricultural sector, building new rural areas and developing the collective economy in the area.
According to Mr. Truong Van Tung - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Lam Dong province, the movement "Farmers produce and do business well, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably" launched by the Central Vietnam Farmers' Association is one of the revolutionary action movements of the peasant class. After 4 years of implementation (2022 - 2026 period), the rate of farmer households registering and achieving the title of good production and business has always increased over the years and exceeded the set target. Up to now, the whole province has more than 148,000 farmer households achieving the title of good production and business at all levels. Among them, many large-scale production models have annual incomes from 800 million VND to billions of VND. The Associations at all levels have organized more than 1,700 training courses, transferring science and technology to more than 93,000 people, helping farmers apply technological advances to production, improving productivity and quality of agricultural products. Preferential loans have also been supported, with over 19,000 households accessing from the Farmers' Support Fund (disbursement of more than VND 68,300 billion) and the Social Policy Bank (disbursement of nearly VND 1,300 billion), contributing to expanding production and building effective economic models.
In addition, good production and business households have become the core in establishing and developing new-style cooperatives and cooperatives, forming a sustainable production and consumption chain of agricultural products. Many cooperatives and professional associations have become the core force in developing the collective economy, contributing to increasing product value and increasing the competitiveness of Lam Dong agricultural products in the market.
Towards green, sustainable agriculture
Digital transformation in agriculture is also focused on. Associations at all levels have guided farmers to change their production mindset from "doing what they have" to "doing what the market needs". At the same time, they encourage access to market information through digital platforms, gradually forming concentrated commodity production areas, associated with building brands for key agricultural products such as durian, vegetables, flowers, etc. towards safe, green and sustainable agriculture.
Through the movement, the spirit of solidarity and mutual love among members and farmers continues to be promoted. Good production and business households have supported more than 7,000 households with difficulties in capital, seeds, and techniques; contributed over 91 billion VND and tens of thousands of working days to build rural infrastructure, contributing to strengthening the movement to build new rural areas and sustainably reduce poverty.
However, according to the general assessment, the movement still has some limitations such as uneven development between regions, especially remote areas; the replication of advanced typical models is still slow; agricultural production still depends heavily on weather and market. The Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association affirmed that he will continue to innovate operating methods, promote propaganda, and arouse the creativity of farmers. At the same time, promote digital transformation in the production and consumption of agricultural products; develop green, organic, safe agriculture and consolidate and expand collective economic forms. In addition, promptly detect, praise and replicate effective models, creating a widespread influence in the community. Bring the movement to continue to develop strongly, achieve more achievements, and contribute significantly to the development of the province's agriculture.
