At around 3:00 p.m. on November 5, the Emergency Department of Quang Ngai General Hospital admitted a male patient, V.D.T (54 years old, residing in Binh Son commune, Quang Ngai province) to the emergency room with multiple injuries. According to his family, the patient fell from a height of 3.5 meters to the ground while climbing up to reinforce the roof to prevent storm No. 13.
Doctors examined and diagnosed patient V.D.T with a collapsed lumbar vertebra and a fractured left heel bone. The patient was hospitalized for surgery and treatment.

Specialist I Doctor Luong Quyet Thang, in charge of the Emergency Department, said that in the past 8 hours, the department has received more than 10 cases of injuries while securing houses and trimming trees to cope with storm No. 13. Many cases were seriously injured, including people with broken heels, collapsed vertebrae, and traumatic brain injuries.

Doctor Thang advised that during the storm prevention process, people need to pay special attention to ensuring their own safety. The hospital always maintains a state of readiness in both human and material resources to promptly receive, provide emergency aid and treatment for accident cases.
