Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 13, Khanh Hoa High Voltage Grid Enterprise under Khanh Hoa Electricity Company has proactively and synchronously deployed many preventive and control measures to ensure the safety of the high voltage grid and maintain stable and continuous power supply, serving the daily life of people and the activities of agencies and enterprises in the area.

Mr. Nguyen Chan Huy - Director of Khanh Hoa High Voltage Grid Enterprise, said: As soon as there was information about strong storms and widespread floods, the Command Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue (PCTT&TKCN) of the Enterprise held an urgent meeting to review all response plans according to the "four on-site" motto: On-site command, on-site forces, on-site means and on-site logistics. The operation management force is ready to increase 24/24h duty to respond to any situation that may arise. Working teams are divided into zones, closely following the area, comprehensively inspecting 110kV power lines, key transformer stations, especially mountainous areas and coastal areas with high risk of strong winds, floods and landslides.

The work of checking and strengthening the power grid before the storm was urgently carried out such as: Clearing trees to limit the risk of trees falling on the power lines; securing the roof of the working house; propagating and coordinating with households living near the power grid to secure the roof; handling advertising signs that are at risk of flying into the power grid, causing incidents during the storm. At the same time, the enterprise has fully prepared materials, spare equipment, generators, lighting, raincoats, life jackets, protective gear and mechanical means to ensure quick handling when incidents occur.

In addition, Khanh Hoa High Voltage Grid Enterprise also proactively coordinates closely with the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Khanh Hoa Power Company and local authorities at all levels to regularly update weather and flood situations; flexibly manage grid operations, and minimize damage caused by natural disasters.

In particular, propaganda and education work to each officer and employee about the spirit of vigilance, responsibility and safety is focused on. Working teams are reminded to strictly follow electrical safety procedures in stormy conditions; not to be subjective in operations, and to maintain clear communication in all situations.
