Supermarkets and markets proactively increase the amount of goods
On the afternoon of November 5, when information about storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi) was reported to have the potential to directly affect Gia Lai province and many other localities, people proactively went to buy goods and food to stock up.

People line up to pay at Co.opmart Quy Nhon Supermarket.
At major supermarkets such as Co.opmart Quy Nhon, GO! Quy Nhon,... and convenience stores in Quy Nhon ward, the number of customers increased 2-3 times compared to normal days. Many stalls such as instant noodles, rice, bottled water, eggs, milk, vegetables and flashlights were almost "sold out" in just a few hours. Supermarket staff worked continuously, the atmosphere was urgent and busy to replenish goods and serve the increased shopping needs of people before, during and after the storm.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (Quy Nhon ward) shared: "I heard that this storm is strong and can cause heavy rain for a long time, so I took the opportunity to go shopping in advance. Mainly dry food, drinking water and a few flashlights in case of power outages."
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuong (Quy Nhon Nam ward) said that his family was afraid of deep flooding and isolation due to the storm, so he decided to buy necessities early to stock up for the whole family to use for about a week.
“When I go to the supermarket, I prefer to choose canned goods, instant food or less processed food in case of power outages. However, the number of customers is too large so many items are starting to run out,” said Mr. Tuong.

All prices are kept stable, and there are even many promotional programs so that people can shop with peace of mind. The supermarket also increased 100% of its staff to serve customers," said Mr. Minh.

Purchasing power at GO! Quy Nhon Supermarket increased 3-4 times compared to normal.
Ms. Ngo Thi Hong, in charge of GO! Quy Nhon Supermarket, said: "Since November 3, the number of customers has increased 3-4 times compared to normal. We have ordered more goods and increased our reserves 5-6 times to meet people's needs if there is a prolonged storm or flood."
According to Ms. Hong, this morning the supermarket also worked with Quy Nhon Nam ward on the supply of necessities. If the flood situation continues, the supermarket will ensure that the prices of goods are always stable to ensure goods serve the people.
