According to Mr. Nay Phi La, Director of the Department of Health, Head of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of the Provincial Health Sector, to respond to the unusual developments of storm No. 13, the committee has assigned tasks to 26 members.

Specifically, the head of the committee is the director of the Department of Health . In addition to general direction, he will directly mobilize human resources and timely funding for disaster prevention and search and rescue; direct the Central Highlands General Hospital and Buon Ma Thuot General Hospital in response, admission, emergency and treatment of victims; and be in charge of directing disaster prevention and search and rescue in the Buon Ma Thuot, Buon Don, Ea Sup and Cu M'gar areas.

The health sector ensures that medical activities are maintained continuously and safely in all situations.

The 5 deputy heads are deputy directors of the Department of Health assigned to each locality; direct the organization of disease prevention and control; handle the environment, water sources, food safety, health education and communication on disaster prevention; ensure quality and safety in emergency care, treatment and patient care at medical facilities during and after natural disasters; and infection control.

The deputy heads also direct the work of ensuring the supply, storage, and distribution of medicines, chemicals, materials, and medical equipment for disaster prevention and search and rescue; organize mobile medical teams, coordinate with military medical forces in search and rescue, transportation, and initial first aid; direct rehabilitation and psychological support after natural disasters...

The remaining members are leaders of hospitals, medical centers and departments under the Department of Health, organizing emergency teams outside the hospital, admitting, giving first aid, and treating victims; directing activities of disease prevention, environmental treatment, water resources... throughout the province; organizing health education and communication on natural disaster prevention; coordinating the implementation of support activities, health care for social subjects, children affected by natural disasters; receiving aid and assistance from agencies, units and individuals for the health sector and planning the allocation to affiliated agencies and units in accordance with regulations...

With a proactive and determined spirit, the Dak Lak Health sector is making efforts to synchronously deploy measures to prevent and combat natural disasters, to minimize damage and protect people's health; at the same time, ensuring that medical activities are maintained continuously and safely in all situations caused by storm No.
