Previously, social networks spread many videos recording images of a female student being surrounded and beaten by a group of female students from the same school in the restroom area. In the clip, this group continuously used their hands and feet to hit and kick the female student, causing her to kneel down and hold her head to endure the beating. Notably, many other students stood by and watched but did not intervene. After being posted, the videos attracted great attention from the public, along with many opinions asking the authorities to take strict action to prevent school violence.
According to the school report, the incident occurred on October 31. Upon verification, it was found that 6 students from different classes participated in the beating. The initial cause stemmed from a conflict while lining up for physical education; after that, the group of students made an appointment to go to the restroom to resolve the matter.
After the incident, the school worked with the parents of the parties involved. Due to the dispute between the parents, the school reported to the local police to help ensure security and order. On the morning of November 3, An Dien Secondary School held a meeting with all the parents, homeroom teachers and students involved.
At the meeting, each student wrote a statement admitting their actions, apologizing, and pledging not to repeat the offense. The offending student’s parents also apologized and agreed to cover all medical, medical, and travel expenses for the victim’s family.
The parents of the beaten female student requested strict punishment, even forcing her to leave school and transferring the case to the police. The principal of An Dien Secondary School affirmed that the school accepted responsibility and, based on Circular 19/2025/TT-BGDDT and current regulations, applied the highest level of disciplinary action to the 6 students who violated the law.
The school said it would publicize the disciplinary action during the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the week as a deterrent, coordinate psychological counseling for students who violate the law, and require the deletion of all related images and clips on social networks and personal devices. Homeroom teachers will coordinate with parents to monitor the implementation.
The school asked the parents to take the beaten female student for a medical checkup so that any injuries can be treated. All related expenses will be covered by the offending student’s family.
The case continues to be monitored and handled according to regulations, to prevent school violence in the future.
