The reason why female student was beaten and had broken ribs in Ho Chi Minh City

(Dan Tri) - The reason why a female student at An Dien Secondary School (Long Nguyen Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) was beaten by a group of friends in the restroom was determined to be due to a conflict while lining up during a physical education class.

On the afternoon of November 5, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City informed about the case of a female student who suffered multiple injuries and three broken ribs after being beaten by a group of friends in the restroom at An Dien Secondary School (Long Nguyen Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

According to the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the incident occurred on the afternoon of October 31. The cause was determined to be a conflict between students while lining up during physical education class.

After the teacher said he would report the problem to their parents, the students made an appointment to meet in the restroom to resolve the conflict.

Upon discovering the incident, on November 3, An Dien Secondary School worked with the parents of the beaten female student and the parents of the group of students who committed acts of school violence.

At the meeting, the six students who participated in the beating apologized to the female student and promised not to repeat similar actions. The parents of these students also apologized to the beaten female student and her family, and asked for compensation for medical expenses.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training added that the Principal of An Dien Secondary School also apologized to the parents whose children were beaten and accepted the school's responsibility. The school's leadership pledged to strictly handle with the highest form of discipline the 6 students who committed violent acts.

As Dan Tri reported, on November 5, a clip was circulated on social media recording a scene where a female student was forced into a corner of a restroom and beaten by a group of friends. In the clip, the female student was surrounded by many other female friends in the school restroom, constantly pointing fingers at her face, questioning her, and using vulgar language to insult her.

Afterwards, the group of female students committed a violent act against their classmate right in the restroom. At this time, many male and female students stood around and witnessed it, but no one intervened, and even cheered and encouraged them.

The female student was knocked to the ground, holding her head and taking the beating. The group of students only stopped when a teacher from outside the restroom shouted loudly.

After the female student was abused, her family took her to see a doctor and was diagnosed with multiple injuries and 3 broken ribs. Currently, the female student has been brought home for convenient care and to not affect her studies.
