Tonight (November 6), storm number 13 with level 17 gusts makes landfall in the Central region.

On the night of November 6 and early morning of November 7, storm No. 13 (Kalcaegi) made landfall in the provinces of Quang Ngai - Gia Lai with a level 12 intensity, gusting to level 15. From Da Nang to Dak Lak, there was very heavy rain.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that at 5:00 a.m. on November 6, the center of storm No. 13 was about 450 km east-southeast of Quy Nhon ( Gia Lai province); the wind near the center of the storm was level 14 (150 - 166 km/h), gusting to level 17. The storm is currently moving rapidly in the West-Northwest direction at a speed of 30 km/h.

At 4:00 p.m. on November 6, the storm was about 120km east of Quy Nhon with strong winds of level 14, gusts of level 17. At 1:00 a.m. on November 7, the storm made landfall in the provinces of Quang Ngai - Gia Lai with a strength of level 12, gusts of level 15.

Due to the storm's influence, from the evening of November 6, on the mainland, the provinces and cities from the South of Da Nang to Dak Lak, the wind gradually increased to level 6 - 7, then increased to level 8-9, the area near the storm's eye was strong at level 10 - 12 (focusing on the East of Quang Ngai - Gia Lai provinces), gusting at level 14 - 15; the area from South Quang Tri to the North of Da Nang city and the North of Khanh Hoa province, the wind gradually increased to level 6 - 7, gusting at level 8 - 9. From the evening and night of November 6, the West of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Gia Lai, the wind gradually increased to level 6 - 7, the area near the storm's eye was strong at level 8 - 9, gusting at level 11.

Quang Ngai province is ready to evacuate more than 26.7 million households, with more than 89,400 people in 77 communes, wards, and special zones to safe storm shelters.

In addition to strong waves and strong winds, from November 6 to 7, provinces and cities from Da Nang to Dak Lak will have very heavy rain with average rainfall of 200 - 400mm/period, in some places higher than 600mm/period; the area from the south of Quang Tri province to Hue city, Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong will have heavy rain with average rainfall of 150 - 300mm/period, in some places very heavy rain over 450mm/period.

From November 7 to 8, the area from the North of Quang Tri province to Thanh Hoa will have moderate to heavy rain with common amounts of 50 - 150mm/period, in some places very heavy rain over 200mm/period.
