According to initial information, at 11:00 a.m. on November 5, Phong Du Ha Commune Police received a report from Ms. TTL (20 years old, same commune) about Mrs. D.ML (86 years old, in Phong Du Ha commune) going through the forest to visit relatives in Lang Cang village from the morning of November 4 but by evening still had not arrived.

The mountainous area is rugged and has no cell phone signal, making initial searches by family and neighbors fruitless.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Commune Police mobilized about 50 people, coordinating with the people to organize the search. At 3:00 p.m. on November 6, the authorities found Mr. L. in a deep forest area, about 8 km from Lang Cang village.

Phong Du Ha commune police used a homemade stretcher to carry the 86-year-old woman to the commune center.

When discovered, the old woman was in a state of exhaustion due to not eating or drinking for many days in the cold weather. Police and local people quickly used a homemade stretcher to take her to Phong Du Ha Commune General Clinic for emergency treatment. Her health is now stable.

Phong Du Ha Commune Police said the incident is a reminder for families to pay more attention to the elderly, especially not to let them go to the forest or fields alone, as it poses many risks.

Previously, on November 5, Muong Hum Commune Police ( Lao Cai Province) while investigating the local situation discovered a woman with signs of mental disorder wandering in Nam Pung village.

Muong Hum Commune Police and local authorities handed over Ms. Y to her family safely.

The police force quickly approached and took the woman to the Commune Health Station for care and identity verification. Because the victim did not carry any identification documents, it was difficult to determine the information. With a sense of responsibility and professional measures, on November 6, Muong Hum Commune Police identified the woman as LTHY (born in 1997, residing in Tam Nong Commune, Phu Tho Province), who had strayed nearly 300km.

It is known that Ms. Y has a history of mental illness and a difficult family situation. Muong Hum Commune Police coordinated with local authorities to contact relatives to pick up Ms. Y and take care of her, while also providing some financial support for her family to bring her home safely.

The above actions demonstrate the spirit of dedication and service to the people of the Lao Cai provincial grassroots police force, contributing to spreading the beautiful image of the People's Public Security soldiers in the hearts of the people.
