Temporarily suspend teacher who sent intimate messages to female student

(NLDO) - Rach Kien Commune Police, Tay Ninh Province are continuing to work with the parents and female student involved to clarify the incident.

On the morning of November 5, the Department of Education and Training of Tay Ninh province announced that the school had suspended teaching and was conducting disciplinary proceedings against a teacher involved in the incident of sending intimate text messages to a 10th grade female student of Rach Kien High School.

Currently, Rach Kien Commune Police continue to work with students and parents to clarify the incident.

Previously, according to the report of the principal of Rach Kien High School, on October 20, Ms. Vo Thi Kim Chi, Vice Principal of the school, received a text message from Ms. Pham Thi Huong Lai, a teacher at Rach Kien High School, about a 10th grade female student named NTTL being sent intimate messages by a male teacher.

On October 21, Ms. Chi invited L. to her room to get information about the incident. L. stated that Mr. NVT (a national defense education teacher) had been texting her back and forth and had touched her body. Her wish was for the incident to stop so she could study in peace.

Ms. Chi encouraged and asked L. to write a report and present her wishes. The school board then worked with Mr. T. and asked him to stop and not let the incident happen again.

On October 22, the school board invited Mr. T. to discuss the incident with L. After listening to the student's report, Mr. T. admitted that he was wrong to text intimately with L., but affirmed that he did not physically touch the student.

The school board asked Mr. T. to write a self-criticism and pledge not to let the incident happen again. The school counseling board discussed it with student L., who agreed with the school board's solution.

At 2:25 p.m. on October 27, L.'s biological mother and another woman came to the school and asked the security guard to let them in, claiming to discuss the student's studies.

However, these two people went straight down to the equipment room, rushed in and beat Mr. T. and those who tried to stop them; at the same time, they insulted and defamed the school's board of directors.

Immediately after the incident, the school reported it to Rach Kien Commune Police to handle the situation. The commune police were present to work with the school board and the two women who disturbed the school's security and order.
