On November 5, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine held the 2025 postgraduate opening ceremony for 1,169 admitted students and postgraduates.

Including 661 level I specialist students, 199 level II specialist students, 111 resident medical students, 173 master's students and 25 doctoral students.
These students and postgraduates passed the postgraduate exam with a competition rate of nearly 1/3.
This year, the school's graduate program has 12 valedictorians, including master's program valedictorian Dang Anh Thao, 20 points; resident physician valedictorian Tran Nguyen Nhat Tin, 36.5 points; doctoral valedictorian Ho Si Dung, 89.1 points; and level I specialist valedictorian Phan Tat Dai, 20 points.
There are 8 valedictorians in the secondary major with a perfect score of 10.
Dr. Pham Quoc Dung, Vice Rector of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, Head of the newly established scientific integrity team, said that the team will work and review scientific integrity issues within the scope of the school's postgraduate programs.
Among them, there is the issue of PhD student Au Nhat Huy - a candidate who has just passed the university's doctoral training program - and Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Khanh Tuong, Head of the Faculty of Medicine, Head of the Internal Medicine Department.
The team will verify technical issues based on scientific integrity regulations as well as international practices in this field.
Mr. Pham Quoc Dung also informed that the Working Group is still working normally after a member asked to withdraw from the group for personal reasons.
Recently, the doctoral training program of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine caused a stir with the admission of candidate Au Nhat Huy, 24 years old.

Candidate Au Nhat Huy's score was lowered from 88.8 to 88.3 after an international article in the candidate's application list was withdrawn from the journal at the request of the main author.
This candidate is the daughter of Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Khanh Tuong, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine - who has been involved in many accusations of scientific integrity on a number of forums recently.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Trong Hao, Chairman of the Board of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, said that the complaint sent to the school was anonymous and therefore did not meet the requirements for processing according to regulations.
However, the school will proactively review and verify the contents of the accusations. At the same time, the school is seeking opinions to issue regulations on scientific integrity.
