On November 5, the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang city issued an official dispatch allowing students to stay home from school on the afternoon of November 6 due to the impact of storm Kalmaegi.
The city's Department of Education and Training also requested vocational training institutions, universities, colleges and private schools in the area to decide on appropriate leave for students based on the actual situation.

Schools regularly check and reinforce classrooms, trees, signs, canopies, and electrical equipment. Principals arrange staff on duty to ensure safety in all situations.
On the same day, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai province issued an official dispatch requesting all educational institutions in the area to allow students to stay home from school from the afternoon of November 6 until further notice.
The Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai province requested educational institutions to closely coordinate with the People's Committees of communes and wards to respond to storm Kalmaegi; maintain 24/7 staff on duty to promptly handle incidents.
Units must deploy plans to respond to storms and floods according to actual situations; do not organize or participate in meetings, training sessions, or refresher courses, except for meetings related to natural disaster prevention and control.
Schools are required to regularly keep in contact with students and teachers in areas at risk of isolation to provide timely support and be ready to receive people into schools to take shelter from the storm.
