Da Nang lets students stay home from school to avoid storm No. 13

All preschool children, students and trainees in the city will be off school on the afternoon of November 6, 2025 to ensure safety against the complicated weather developments. Vocational training institutions, universities and private universities are required to proactively decide on the learning of students and trainees based on the actual situation.

The Department of Education and Training of Da Nang also requested units and schools to seriously and effectively implement the contents of Official Dispatch No. 2060/SGDĐT-VP dated November 4, 2025 on proactively responding to storm No. 13; absolutely not be subjective or negligent; focus on leadership, direction, and proactively deploy plans to ensure safety for teachers, workers, preschool children, students, trainees, and property of the unit.

Schools must promptly notify parents and arrange for teachers and staff to manage preschool children and students during school breaks. For educational institutions with boarding facilities, the Department notes that they must proactively notify food suppliers and avoid cooking when students are absent to limit waste.

For facilities with boarding students, in case students cannot return home, the head of the unit must assign teachers and staff to be on duty, manage and ensure absolute safety for students, teachers and workers during the time the storm affects the city.
