Specifically, the Logistics - Technical Service Center of Truong Sa Island and Sinh Ton Island received and safely arranged 26 fishing boats with 536 fishermen to anchor. In the face of the complicated and dangerous developments of storm No. 13, the Navy Squadron 129 directed the Logistics - Technical Service Centers to do a good job of preparation, ready to ensure the highest safety to welcome fishermen.

Major Do Van Tuyen, Commander of the Sinh Ton Island Logistics and Technical Service Center, said: “The Center has deployed forces and means to implement storm prevention plans, reinforce embankments, arrange anchorage locations, and work with people to reinforce mooring lines to ensure safety. We also take advantage of the spaces and arrange additional temporary resting places for people at the Center when the storm makes landfall, to ensure maximum safety for people and vehicles of fishermen operating at sea.”

In addition to storm prevention work, the Logistics and Technical Service Centers also continued to contact and guide fishing vessels operating in the area to take shelter via communication devices. The units promptly supported fishermen with many necessities such as instant noodles, vegetables, fresh water, medicine, medical supplies and technical supplies while the fishing vessels were anchored.
The Logistics and Technical Service Centers are not only strategic fulcrums on the front line of the Fatherland's islands and seas, but also vivid symbols of the military-civilian relationship at the forefront. These timely actions have contributed to consolidating the people's hearts and minds, affirming sacred sovereignty and clearly demonstrating the responsibility and deep affection between the military and the people on remote islands.
