Trung Quan chooses to "live slowly", explains the reason for not participating in Brother shows

(Dan Tri) - Trung Quan shared with Dan Tri reporter that he had received several invitations to participate in reality shows but decided to decline because he "wanted to devote all his heart to his own music".

After 2024 with many memorable marks including his debut album after 15 years of singing and a live concert attracting thousands of audiences in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi in July 2024, Trung Quan said he was satisfied with his "slow but steady" direction.

"After a long time working in this profession, I feel that my music does not need to prove anything anymore. Each song is a moment, a real emotion that I want to record. If it can become a hit, it is lucky. As for me, the greatest joy is still being able to sing and share my true emotions with everyone," the singer shared.

Trung Quan admitted that doing shows doesn't make money, but the audience's support is his biggest motivation. The male singer affirmed that even if he has to sell his house or mortgage his assets, as long as he "likes it, he will do it."

Once loved by the audience when participating in Masked Singer with the image of Moon Butterfly, Trung Quan was mentioned by many audiences when the programs Anh trai say hi, Anh trai vu ngan cong gai... blossomed.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Trung Quan said: "I have also received a few invitations, but for me, participating in game shows is not just appearing for fun. Each program requires a lot of time and serious investment, from image preparation, practice to psychology.

I believe that whatever I do, I have to do it thoroughly. Therefore, when I am truly ready in terms of time and mentality, I will definitely not hesitate to try. But at this time, I want to devote all my heart to my own music."

Trung Quan said that he does not care about his position in the profession, because for him, his position in the hearts of the audience is the most important. "What I cherish most is that the audience is still there listening to my music, still waiting every time I release a new product," the singer said.

This year, Trung Quan chose to "live slowly". At the beginning of the year, he collaborated with Bui Anh Tuan on the EP BUI , which included five ballad songs, receiving positive feedback from audiences who love lyrical music. Recently, the male singer also released the MV Hat Ngoc Trang - a project with national pride, released on the occasion of National Day.

On November 4, Trung Quan continued to release the MV My vi cuoc doi , a ballad with a strong narrative style composed by musician Dong Thien Duc. The song exploits a familiar theme but is expressed with a delicate melody, multi-layered lyrics and emotional singing.

Trung Quan said that he follows the spirit of "doing what you like", not focusing on strategy or trends. For the male singer, music at this stage is a way to connect with the audience and preserve emotional moments in his career journey.

"I find young artists today very interesting and fun, so I don't feel worried or need to compare. Each person has their own journey and way of reaching the audience," the singer said.

Trung Quan was born in 1992 and attracted attention in the Vietnam Idol 2008 contest. After that, the male singer continuously released music products that were loved by the audience, especially love songs about rain, so he was nicknamed "rain saint".

In 2022, Trung Quan attracted attention when participating in the Masked Singer program with the image of Moon Butterfly.
