(Dan Tri) - According to the Director of Tu Du Hospital, currently having the most advanced obstetric technique is the pride of the Ho Chi Minh City health sector.

At the international training workshop on handling cardiovascular and nervous system abnormalities before 13 weeks of pregnancy, held on November 6 in Ho Chi Minh City, Dr. Tran Ngoc Hai, Director of Tu Du Hospital, said that fetal diagnosis is the most difficult diagnosis, and the younger the fetus, the more difficult the diagnosis.

In the current era of scientific and technological development, the role of diagnostic imaging is very important, as it greatly helps medical specialists (including obstetricians) in determining the condition accurately and as early as possible, thereby improving the quality of treatment.

For the obstetrics and gynecology profession, being able to diagnose abnormalities before 13 weeks of gestation (i.e., in the first trimester) is a revolution for fetal pathologies.

According to Dr. Hai, the global obstetrics and gynecology industry is shifting rapidly from a "one-size-fits-all" treatment model to "precision medicine", aiming at the dual goals of early detection and minimal intervention, to reduce complications, hospital stays and treatment costs.
