Huy Tuan mentioned Ho Ngoc Ha's case, Tung Duong said 'only AI can be perfect'

On the afternoon of November 5, Tung Duong had a debut album The Voice - Timeless in vinyl format. The product includes familiar songs of Vietnamese music , selected and produced over many months.

During the guest exchange, musician Huy Tuan mentioned the recent incident of singer Ho Ngoc Ha singing out of tune on stage.

"In the current digital and AI era, from Tung Duong's vinyl record to Ho Ngoc Ha's 'occupational accident', all show one thing: that is primitive music. In an era where real emotions are gradually fading away, when listeners are too familiar with digital products, we crave even more pure and natural sounds like that," he said.

Tung Duong then said that it is normal for a singer to sometimes sing off-key or lose pitch in live performances; and sometimes those small mistakes reveal the truth and emotions of the singer.

"I think sometimes singing out of tune or singing too loudly is human, but singing too perfectly is AI," the male singer shared.

In response to opinions that his musical style and singing style have changed a lot, Tung Duong said that it is the result of a process of self-reflection and adjustment.

“I am no longer young enough to be a 'big brother'. My looks are average or weak, so I have never stopped trying my best in my career,” Tung Duong said.

The Voice - Timeless album includes 8 familiar songs: Alone (Lam Phuong), Lonely (Nguyen Anh 9), Regretful (Pham Duy - Huy Can), The heart of the person leaving (Anh Bang), Separately on the corner of the sky (Ngo Thuy Mien), Footprints of paradise , Lullaby to us (Trinh Cong Son) and Kiep nao co yeu nhau (Pham Duy - Minh Duc Hoai Trinh).

After a period of making experimental albums like Human or Multiverse , Tung Duong returned to a more intimate musical style with less experimental elements.

The arrangements are handled by musician Hong Kien, using classical harmonies mixed with jazz and soul, with the aim of creating diversity in color within the same theme.

Musician Hong Kien commented that Tung Duong's voice is now stable and mature, helping him express many different musical states. The production process is described as meticulous from song selection, arrangement to recording.
