City leaders work with 3 communes: Thang Binh, Dong Duong, Thang Phu on teaching and learning

According to the report of the People's Committee of Thang Binh commune, there are 20 schools from kindergarten to secondary school in the area. Although the facilities have been invested, they do not meet the requirements of Circular No. 13 of the Ministry of Education and Training .

Currently, many classrooms at Kim Dong Primary School, Nguyen Thanh Primary School, and Huynh Thuc Khang Secondary School are degraded and need to be rebuilt. Secondary schools lack standard subject rooms and multi-purpose halls.

For Thang Phu commune, 7/8 schools in the area meet national standards, only 1 school has not met standards.

In the commune, there are 3 projects under the medium-term investment plan of the People's Committee of Thang Binh district (old) for the period 2021 - 2025, but capital has not been allocated for implementation, while some items have degraded and have not been replaced.

Dong Duong commune has 10 schools, the quality of education has been continuously improved over the years, but the school facilities are not uniform, degraded, teaching equipment is still lacking, not ensuring teaching according to the 2018 General Education Program.

Many important items such as: auditorium, multi-purpose hall, experience area, fence, yard, teacher and student parking lot need to be upgraded and rebuilt.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan assigned relevant departments and branches to review and re-evaluate the shortcomings and difficulties reported by the locality in order to promptly have plans to adjust and supplement, especially to upgrade and repair construction items. In particular, the Department of Finance will study and allocate reasonable resources to support educational development.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the People's Committees of the communes of Thang Binh, Thang Phu and Dong Duong to continue reviewing the team of managers, teachers and staff at schools to have plans to supplement and adjust appropriately according to their authority.
