Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 13, on November 5, Mr. Tran Minh Quang - General Director of Khanh Viet Corporation (Khatoco) inspected and directed storm prevention and control work at the following units: Khatoco Tobacco Raw Materials Company, Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory, Khatoco Garment Factory, Khatoco Ostrich - Crocodile Trading Company, Khatoco Phu Yen Tobacco Factory and Khanh Viet Corporation Branch in Gia Lai.

At the checkpoints, Khatoco leaders requested units to absolutely not be subjective in any situation, to concentrate all resources to ensure absolute safety for people and property; urgently review and inspect the entire infrastructure of factories, warehouses, power stations and drainage systems; promptly reinforce and repair vulnerable locations, especially areas at risk of roof loss or flooding, and proactively move goods, materials and easily damaged equipment to safe places. Units must be ready with on-site rescue supplies and equipment such as sandbags, pumps, generators, life jackets, flashlights and necessary necessities. Regarding labor safety, suspend all outdoor activities, construction or movement of large goods immediately when there is a warning of strong winds of level 8 or higher or prolonged heavy rain causing unsafe conditions...; arrange 24/7 standing forces to closely monitor the storm's developments; Maintain communication with the Corporation to promptly handle arising situations.
In addition, units must closely coordinate with local authorities and rescue forces, ready to support when requested. At the same time, forces must be prepared to focus on overcoming the consequences and quickly stabilize production after the storm.
