At the meeting, representatives of departments and professional units focused on reviewing all related work in the series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam Sports Industry's Traditional Day to ensure consistency, efficiency and professionalism.
Accordingly, the key items are expected to include: Rally to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnam's Sports Industry; National Conference with the theme "New Vision for Vietnam Sports "; Exhibition "80 Years - Milestone of Vietnam Sports"; Program to honor, exchange and dialogue with industry leaders and golden generations of Vietnam Sports; Program "Sport Concert - Glory of Vietnam Sports"; Program to select outstanding national Coaches and Athletes in 2025; ...
In addition, mass sports activities are expected to be organized on a large scale, such as: The online race "80 years of Vietnamese Sports" was launched on the V-Race platform, attracting a large number of people to participate, making physical training a part of cultural lifestyle. Along with that, localities will increase the organization of competitions and sports exchanges to celebrate, thereby strongly spreading the spirit of self-training following the example of great Uncle Ho.
At the same time, communication work has been strongly enhanced. Press agencies, digital platforms, and social networks have promoted propaganda about the 80 years of formation and development of the sports industry, introducing typical examples and creative models in the national sports movement.
Giving his opinion at the working session to complete the plans and programs for the event celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Industry, Mr. Vu Xuan Thanh - Chief of Office of the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department emphasized: The review of the organization not only serves the anniversary event but also is an opportunity to comprehensively re-evaluate the Sports and Physical Training Development Strategy, from infrastructure, training and education human resources, to policies to encourage people to practice sports regularly. Accordingly, each stage at each related work point needs to be strictly controlled, aiming at the goal of organizing solemnly, economically, in-depth, bearing a strong historical and meaningful mark.

The 80th anniversary of the Sports Industry's Traditional Day is an opportunity to review the glorious tradition and pay tribute to generations of cadres, coaches and athletes who have contributed to the country's sports career; while affirming the spirit of "Staying healthy to build and protect the Fatherland."
In addition, commemorative activities were carried out in a rich and close manner to people's lives. From grassroots sports competitions, gymnastics competitions, walking festivals to programs to honor outstanding athletes, excellent coaches,... all aimed at promoting the spirit of "physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho".
With that meaning and to ensure that all preparations take place urgently, promptly, accurately and effectively, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department Le Thi Hoang Yen requested that the specialized departments and units in the Department continue to coordinate and implement the work most effectively. According to Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen, the preparation work not only has the meaning of organizing a historic event, but is also an opportunity to evaluate the 80-year development of Vietnamese Sports, affirming the position and orientation in the new period.
