Tuyen Quang approves the outline framework of the Tourism Development Project to 2035, vision 2045

The People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province has just approved the framework of the project on developing tourism in the province until 2035, with a vision to 2045, to build a comprehensive strategy to turn tourism into an important economic sector, aiming to become a spearhead economic sector, actively contributing to green growth and sustainable development.

According to the Project's content, the research scope includes the entire administrative boundaries of Tuyen Quang province after the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units according to Resolution No. 202/2025/QH15, with a natural area of ​​more than 13,795 km². The Project also expands the scope of research linkages with neighboring provinces such as Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho... to ensure synchronization and inter-regional development in tourism; at the same time, it meets the comprehensive, in-depth assessment of reality, suitable to the socio -economic development conditions of the locality.

The general objective of the Project is to orient the development of Tuyen Quang tourism in association with national planning, regional planning and central orientation, in line with the context after administrative merger. The Project also aims to promote the potential and advantages of the province, linking tourism development with national target programs on poverty reduction, new rural construction and sustainable socio-economic development.

Specifically, the Project will comprehensively assess the potential, advantages, and current status of tourism development in Tuyen Quang in the period of 2018-2025; clearly define the viewpoints, goals, and targets for tourism development in the period of 2026-2035, with a vision to 2045. On that basis, build key strategies such as developing green tourism, tourism associated with heritage and cultural industry, developing destination brands, training high-quality human resources, and a system of effective destination management solutions.

The project also aims to develop specific tourism products, exploiting the unique advantages of each region; strongly developing types of eco-tourism, community, historical - revolutionary, festival and ethnic cultural experience tourism. In addition, focusing on investment, upgrading infrastructure, accommodation facilities, connecting traffic, ensuring synchronous service infrastructure and environmental sanitation in key tourist areas and destinations.

One of the highlights of the Project is to build a framework for tourism development initiatives in Tuyen Quang province, aiming to form typical models and products that can spread and create a strong brand for local tourism. Along with that is a list of priority programs and projects for the period 2026-2035, clearly defining the objectives, scale, resources and forms of capital mobilization, in which public-private partnership and socialized investment are encouraged.

The budget for the Project is allocated from the additional State budget allocated to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tuyen Quang in 2025 and 2026. The Project implementation period shall not exceed 6 months from the date of approval of the outline.

The decision to approve the framework of the Project on tourism development in Tuyen Quang province to 2035, with a vision to 2045, is an important step, creating a scientific and legal basis for strategic planning and orienting synchronous and professional tourism development, contributing to making tourism a key economic sector, enhancing the position and image of Tuyen Quang in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region.
