Discover the peaceful ripe rice season in Hang Dang De village, Lao Cai

(VTC News) - Amidst the brilliant golden season of Mu Cang Chai, Hang Dang De village still retains its wild beauty, an ideal destination for tourists who want to experience the ripe rice season in a gentle way.

Mu Cang Chai ( Lao Cai province) is a famous destination every autumn with golden terraced fields. Besides familiar places such as La Pan Tan or Che Cu Nha, Hang Dang De village is still a little-known land, with pristine and peaceful beauty.

Hang Dang De Village is located more than 10 km from the center of Mu Cang Chai district (old), the road is mainly narrow and steep passes, but in return, visitors will admire the golden season scenery stretching across the valley.

The entire village has only a few dozen Hmong houses nestled among terraced fields. When the rice is ripe, the entire mountainside is covered in a brilliant yellow color, reflecting the sunlight, creating a scene typical of the Northwest highlands.

Not as noisy and bustling as famous tourist spots, Hang Dang De still maintains a slow pace of life. People go to harvest rice early in the morning, and in the afternoon they light the stove to cook rice, blue smoke lingering around the mountainside.

"This year there are more visitors, but everyone is polite, taking pictures and greeting each other happily. People still harvest like every year, just hoping to keep the village clean and beautiful so that visitors will want to come back," said a resident of Hang Dang De village.

Tourists coming to Hang Dang De often choose to stay at local homestays, experience highland meals with sticky rice, grilled stream fish, wild vegetables, and drink a cup of aromatic corn wine.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, a tourist from Hanoi , shared: “I have been to Mu Cang Chai many times, but here is different. Not crowded, not bustling, just listening to the sound of the wind, the sound of people harvesting rice, I feel so light-hearted.”

The rice fields are located on the mountainside, in layers, creating soft waves of rice stretching along the slope.

Amidst the brilliant golden rice season of Mu Cang Chai, Hang Dang De village still retains its peaceful, simple and intimate appearance.

Not noisy, not commercialized, this place is gradually becoming the choice of those who want to find an original, simple but attractive Northwest land.
