On the evening of October 30, the rain in Hue City decreased, the water on the rivers gradually receded, ending the "great flood" that had lasted from October 26 until now. The main roads in the city center were basically free of flooding. However, some low-lying areas and some flood-prone areas in the downstream rivers were still deeply flooded and isolated in many places.

Previously, Hue City experienced a historic flood that had not happened in more than 25 years, far surpassing the major floods of recent years such as 2020 and 2023. The "great flood" submerged many places in Hue City. By October 29, the river water had receded but by midnight it had risen again to over 5 meters. In less than 3 days, Hue City residents had to flee the flood twice.

By the afternoon of October 30, the river water receded sharply, revealing a scene of desolation and desolation.

Many people's cars and motorbikes were swept away or submerged in the floodwaters for many days, causing severe damage.

Garbage and mud surrounded Hue city after the historic flood.

Souvenir stalls along the Huong River walking path are still submerged in water, surrounded by trash and tree branches.

The water level of the Perfume River is still high, the ironwood pedestrian bridge is submerged in water, and garbage covers the foot of the Phu Xuan bridge.

After struggling to escape the flood, the people of Hue City have to start cleaning up their houses and businesses. If they do not do it quickly, the mud will dry up, making it difficult to handle and exhausting.

Inside the Hue Imperial Citadel, many relics are still submerged in floodwaters.

The road area in front of Thai Hoa Palace is still quite flooded.

The area leading up to the Ngu Phung tower relic is still surrounded by floodwaters.

As the water receded, the staff and officers of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center immediately cleaned up and repaired the damage to prepare to welcome visitors back.

According to the leader of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, on October 31, the unit reopened tourist attractions in the Hue Monuments Complex, ticket sales starting at 8:00 a.m.
According to preliminary statistics, the recent historic flood caused 32/40 wards and communes with over 44,000 houses to be submerged. Up to now, the floods have left at least 6 people dead and missing in Hue, and 1 person injured. Notably, the number of dead and missing people increased as the river water gradually receded.
According to the People's Committee of Hue City, although the locality has continuously warned and provided guidance on safety skills during floods, there have still been many unfortunate drowning incidents in the area, mostly due to people being subjective and moving through deep flooded areas with fast-flowing water.
