Athletes' achievements at the 3rd Asian Youth Games (AYG) – 2025

From October 16 to November 1, 2025, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation attended the 3rd Asian Youth Games (AYG 2025) in Bahrain with 75 members, led by Mr. Dao Duc Kien, Deputy Head of the Department of High Performance Sports. The Athlete Training Center of Bac Ninh University of Sports has 6 athletes and 3 coaches participating in Badminton (1 coach, 1 athlete), Wrestling (1 coach, 1 athlete) and Jujitsu (1 coach, 4 athletes).

At the Games, the Vietnamese sports delegation won 19 medals (3 gold, 6 silver, 10 bronze), standing in the group with stable achievements and highly appreciated for their competitive spirit. In that overall achievement, the athletes currently being trained at the Athlete Training Center, Bac Ninh University of Sports and Physical Education made important contributions with 01 silver medal - athlete Bui Ngoc Thao Thom (Beach Wrestling) and 02 bronze medals - athlete Hoang Manh Luong (48kg men's category) and athlete Nong Bao Ngoc (48kg women's category) in Jujitsu.

Athlete Bui Ngoc Thao Thom (left) won silver medal in the women's 55kg category in Beach Wrestling.

These results not only affirm the professional capacity of young athletes, but also demonstrate the quality of training, management and athlete support of the Athlete Training Center of Bac Ninh University of Sports.

Speaking about this achievement, the representative of the school's leadership affirmed: "This is a clear demonstration of the effectiveness of the athlete training model linking the school - Federation - Vietnam Sports Administration. The results achieved at the 2025 Asian Youth Games are a source of pride and motivation for Bac Ninh University of Sports to continue developing high-performance sports training, towards the 33rd SEA Games and larger international arenas."

Athlete Hoang Manh Luong contributed 1 bronze medal in the men's 48kg Jujitsu event to the Vietnamese sports delegation participating in the 3rd Asian Youth Games (AYG) - 2025
