Checking the preparation of the teams before the 33rd SEA Games

On the eve of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33) held in Thailand, Director of the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet led a delegation of the Department to visit, work and encourage the national teams training at the Athlete Training Center of Bac Ninh University of Sports and Physical Training. This is an important activity to check the professional preparation work, listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the coaches and athletes, and promptly remove difficulties so that the teams have the best training conditions towards the 33rd SEA Games.

Receiving and working with the delegation, on the side of the School, there were Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Party Committee Secretary, Principal, leaders of the School, leaders of functional units, Board of Directors of the Athlete Training Center and coaches in charge of the teams. Currently, at the Center, there are 14 national and youth teams training and 06 teams with a total of 67 athletes will compete in the 33rd SEA Games including: Badminton Team (10 athletes), Athletics (2 athletes), Handball (18 athletes), Fencing (18 athletes), Volleyball (18 athletes) and National Youth Weightlifting (1 athlete). These are all key teams of Vietnamese Sports , expected to contribute high achievements in the regional arena.

During the working session, Director Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet directly visited the training areas, facilities and encouraged the competitive spirit of each team. He highly appreciated the initiative and seriousness in training work, the spirit of overcoming difficulties of the coaching team and athletes. The Director affirmed that the Vietnam Sports Administration will pay attention and provide maximum support in terms of training conditions, nutrition and professional equipment so that the teams can fully prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.

In particular, through listening to the recommendations from the teams, the Director has promptly directed measures to overcome difficulties, resolve a number of issues regarding facilities, training equipment and operating costs, in order to create the most favorable conditions for the teams. This close attention and timely decisions have created great motivation for teachers and students at the Center, contributing to strengthening the belief and determination to complete the assigned tasks.

Speaking on behalf of the School, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc expressed his gratitude to the leaders of the Vietnam Sports Administration for their constant attention, guidance and support to the School in the training of national athletes. The presence and direct guidance of the Director before the SEA Games was a great source of encouragement, adding spiritual strength to all staff, coaches and athletes.

The working trip of the Department of Sports and Physical Training not only has the meaning of inspection and supervision but also demonstrates the sense of responsibility and special attention of the industry leaders for the national athlete force. Thereby, affirming that Bac Ninh University of Sports and Physical Training continues to be a key national sports training center, making an important contribution to the development of high-performance sports in Vietnam, aiming to achieve excellent results at the 33rd SEA Games and the following international arenas.
