On October 31, in the second week of the training session, Hanoi's weather maintained an average temperature of 21-25 degrees Celsius, creating favorable conditions for physical training and technical tactics. Despite light rain at the weekend, coach Mai Duc Chung still maintained a regular training schedule to help the players adapt to different competition conditions.
Young striker Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha shared: “After more than two weeks, the team’s physical strength has improved significantly. Compared to the first days of training, the players are more agile and resilient, meeting the coaching staff’s requirements well. The two upcoming friendly matches with Ho Chi Minh City Women’s Football Club will be an opportunity for the young players to gain experience and help the coaching staff test the squad.”
Sharing the same view, midfielder Nguyen Thi Van said the team has started focusing on tactical coordination to increase coordination between the lines.
“In this training session, many new young faces were called up to the national team. They integrated quickly, trained seriously and tried very hard. The opponents at the SEA Games such as Myanmar or the Philippines are all strong and innovative, so the whole team is trying to improve both physical strength and tactics,” Nguyen Thi Van shared.
According to the plan, the national women's team will play two friendly matches with Ho Chi Minh City women's football club on November 1 and 4. After that, the team is expected to have two more friendly matches with non-professional men's football teams in Bac Ninh (November 8) and Son Tay (November 14), before moving to Viet Tri for training from November 16.
The technical training sessions in light rain, along with the high concentration of the players, clearly demonstrated the determination of coach Mai Duc Chung and his team in preparing for the 33rd SEA Games - where the Vietnamese women's team aims to continue to affirm its leading position in the region.
